The article provides a novel study on Emerson’s philosophy of creation and creator in the light of Vedic philosophy of India. Emerson out rightly rejected the concept of Biblical Trinity. Rather, his concept of trinity is based on Traityavad(trinity), the essence of the Vedic philosophy. The Vedas advocate three basic elements which form the basis of the creation. They are Paramatman/God, Atman/Soul, Prakriti/Nature which are central to the philosophy of Emerson. The article makes a noble attempt to establish the correlation of Emerson’s philosophy of trinity with Traityavad. Of course there was tremendous oriental influence on Emerson to shape up such philosophy as he set out to explore solutions to some of the basic issues of life and creation. Emerson’s philosophy goes parallel with the theory of Traityavad which unfolds the Vedic views of mystery of life and creation through the projection of relationship of God, Man and Nature.
