The aim of this paper is to discuss the potential of using YouTube as an aid for practicing English .Variation in teaching by technology in language class replaces traditional teaching in the classroom, innovative technology that can be integrated into the teaching methodology, such as the most important a knowledge- sharing tool YouTube. It has been found to be a great tool to improve students’ motivation and concentration, improving their visual memory – essential when learning vocabulary, and decreasing their anxiety in the classroom. The teacher must be able to use the technology properly and be prepared to deal with any technical problem that may come up during the lesson. It allows the students to greatly improve their listening skills, but can also be a useful tool for developing all four skills. It has both advantages and disadvantages.
