Turkey and Israel both of them are important players in the region. Relation between Turkey as a Muslim majority country and Israel as a Zionist regime, which had been created in the heart of the Muslim land, was (is) very difficult, therefore, their relation fluctuated over the time. In the beginning Turkey opposed the creation of Israel, but within one year from the creation, Turkey as the first Muslim majority country recognized Israel. To better understand the causes of Turkish-Israeli fluctuated relations, it is very important to know the status of their early relation. In fact both of them were in pressure in both domestic and international areas. Turkey’s problems with her neighboring countries like Syria, Egypt, communist Russia, and more importantly her unsolvable problem on Cyprus issue necessitated Turkey to shift towards Israel. In the same way, Israel was facing strong opposition and had been boycotted by the Arab/Muslim countries. In short, this descriptive study tries to analyze Turkish-Israeli relation in its early years to find the important causes of this unusual relationship. The data used in this study are from both primary and secondary data. Keywords: Turkey, Israel, relation, early years, foreign policy, Muslim, Zionism.
