This paper deals with the origin and scope of Anglo-Indian fiction. It also looks into the efforts of scholars like Srinivasa Iyengar and M. K. Naik to distinguish Anglo-Indian fiction from Indo-Anglian writing. It briefly analyses some of the recurring themes in Anglo-Indian fiction and the possibility of such themes being responsible for Anglo-Indian novels receiving little attention in literary circles. Keywords: Anglo-Indian Fiction, Origin and Scope, Indo-Anglian Writing, Recurring Themes, Literary Circles etc.
