This paper attempts to look into the issue of Identity Crisis by focusing upon Karan Johar’s ‘My Name is Khan’. My Name Is Khan tells the life story of Rizwan Khan, a Muslim man with Asperger disorder who embarks on a mission to meet the president of the United States (Johar 2010). It is an attempt to examine My Name is Khan that gives expression to a sense of beleaguered Muslim identity that has emerged in response to what seems to be an anti-Muslim agenda across the world after the turbulent event of 9/11 when more fuel was added to fire. Questions of religious and national identity, of the sense of right and wrong, of combating certain isolation come to the fore with a behavioural disorder in the movie My Name is Khan . Keywords: Identity Crisis, Asperger Disorder, Religious and National Identity, Behavioural Disorder etc.
