Kamala Das is the pioneer among many short story writers in India who chose the inner chaos, the feelings, longings and actual experiences of the Indian women as the fittest subject to write about. She explores the plight of women in India and engraves the despair and longing of fellow women through her writings. By protesting against the oppression of the female class, she wants to liberate woman from the typecast of her colonized status. Her works basically contemplate on the status of woman through the revelation of the female experiences; it may be the trauma of an unhappy marriage or disgust at the male domination. In this paper, the researcher made an attempt to showcase the theme of Parent-Child Relationship in the short stories of Kamala Das.amala Das is the pioneer among many short story writers in India who chose the inner chaos, the feelings, longings and actual experiences of the Indian women as the fittest subject to write about.
