Multiple Intelligencesultiple Intelligencesdeveloped by HowardGardner play a primaryrole in Education today.The concept of smartclassrooms in schoolsand colleges has become the most common meansof teaching and has produced excellence inmethods of English Language Teaching. Theteachers in colleges should be aware of the factthat students coming from schools have theirindividual intelligence profiles. But the problem isthey differ in their profiles. Obviously thedifferences affect the students’ learning process ina large classroom and the question is how shouldteacher face such diversity in classroom situations?In light of this question, the paper attempts todiscuss strategies to invest in the teaching-learningprocesses so that the teachers look beyondtraditional methods of classroom teaching andcontinue the track of application of multipleintelligences. The paper focuses on teachingspeaking and listening skills and attempts toinvolve suitable intelligence theories. Thestrategies that were examined in classrooms are encouraging. The feedback from the studentsencouraging.
