To a greater extent, the term Soft Skills is accepted globally nowadays which signify character traits and interpersonal skills that illustrate a person's relationships with others and specify personal as well as professional competences such as social aptitudes, language and communication capability, friendliness and ability of working in team and other personality traits. Soft Skills are strategic to be successful in personal and professional life then is essential for a candidate when s/he tries to obtain any kind of job. This paper makes a survey of the importance of soft skills in students’ lives both at college and after college. It discusses how soft skills complement hard skills, which are the technical requirements of a job the student is trained to do. Along with this, the author also exhorts to recommend certain considerable approaches and strategic appliances of instilling General Semantics as part of soft skills in a process of teaching language and communication skills. This paper documents the findings of an initiative towards ascertaining approaches relevant to General semantics that aimed to improve the success of study skills teaching by combining academic and commercial leanings into a modified teaching approach. The results and specific techniques described in this paper can be easily integrated into most types of teaching material. This research analyzes the effectiveness of multiple classroom assignments pertinent to distinct applications for teaching soft skills in a Business Communication, Language and Communication skills courses. Key-words: General semantics, Soft skills, delayed reaction, feedback, abstraction, inferences etc.etc.
