English has emerged as a world language today. It has not at all remained the language only of a single country, England. It is used as an official language in almost 54 countries, and there are more than 1500 million uses of this language. Today we have demands everywhere for a successful professional. There is a growing recognition that the possessions of English language skills are integral to working effectively in new work patterns. These types of skills are reported to be of increasing importance to employers as they relate to a person’s ability to operate effectively in the workplace either alone or with others. Spoken English is extensively used in business, industries, research, government and education for day to day transactions. To achieve success in one’s career, it is essential to acquire an ability to speak English effectively and fluently. The ever growing need for good communication skills in English has created a huge demand for teaching and learning quality English around the world. Today’s Corporate is troubled by untrained manpower and attrition for which reason again is a lack of communication skills. In the present scenario whether an individual is an Engineer or a graduate everybody needs to communicate in English somewhere. It makes the candidate confident, self reliant, good communicator. English is a medium which ensures your present employability. The present paper will highlight the importance of English and how English can reduce the un employability by learning communication skills. It also helps the people to acquire a dream job through communication skills. The main argument of this paper is that empowerment begins when we become aware that language is a symbolic tool for the exercise of power and influence.
