The empowerment of women entrepreneurs through Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India is a critical driver for economic growth, social development, and gender equality. This perspective explores the multifaceted role of MSMEs in fostering entrepreneurial ventures led by women, highlighting the socio-economic impacts and the challenges they face. Women entrepreneurs in India contribute significantly to the national economy by creating jobs, generating income, and fostering innovation. However, they encounter numerous obstacles, including limited access to finance, inadequate training and mentorship, societal norms, and regulatory hurdles. This study delves into the various initiatives and policies implemented by the Indian government and other stakeholders to support women entrepreneurs within the MSME sector. It examines the effectiveness of schemes such as the MUDRA Yojana, Stand-Up India, and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), which aim to provide financial assistance, skill development, and networking opportunities. The research also addresses the importance of digitalization, market access, and technology adoption in enhancing the competitiveness of women-led MSMEs. Through a comprehensive analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, this perspective underscores the need for a holistic approach to empower women entrepreneurs. This includes fostering an enabling environment, ensuring gender-responsive policies, and promoting public-private partnerships. The study concludes with strategic recommendations to strengthen the ecosystem for women entrepreneurs in MSMEs, advocating for increased investment in education, infrastructure, and mentorship programs to bridge the gender gap and drive sustainable economic development.
