This paper focuses on Indian Diasporic literature as a study of globalization and multiculturalism Diaspora is a journey towards self-realization, self-recognition, self –know ledge and self-definition. The term Diaspora refers to the people who depart from their own traditional home land and settle down in a place far from their own home land. Diasporic literature plays a significant role in depicting the culture, history of nations and revealing the reality of the people on diaspora. Diasporic writing deals with the people who are tossed with the memory of native land and new land. The immigrants face psychological and emotional walfare between old customs of the native land and freedom and alteration of the new land. The migrants are in a dilemma of either pursuing their traditional customs or breaking the hindrances of homeland and accept the new culture of the alien land. The diasporic writers are involved in cultural transmission and obsession of the old memories of their homeland and the new, imaginary land.
