Most of the people feel that life is absurd. Absurdity is a part of everyone’s life. Some people think that their life is meaningless; some people feel that life is boring, monotonous etc. Perhaps, some people try to solve the riddle but they cannot. Only few people know to cope with absurd situations. It is actually universal and there are countless instances across human history as also in World Literature. It may be solved due to cognitive dissonance or meditation. This paper tries to bring out those absurd situations in life and literature and mainly on the persons or the characters such as, Indian Prince Siddhartha, King Bhartṛhari, Viktor Frankl [founder of Humanistic Psychology] etc. who coped with those absurd situations. Also, it throws light on the philosophy, Existentialism which helps to cope with absurd situations. Through this paper, the researcher helps the people to find the meaning in every absurd situations and the possible way to find solution is meditation.
