Rural Co-operative Banking and credit institutions play an important role in meeting the growing credit needs of rural India particularly in agriculture sector. The volume of credit following through these institutions has increased. Let us see how can corporative institution financing contribute to the availability and optimal use of the various inputs required in the Cultivation of land. The Indian Cooperative movement was initiated by the government. It spread and diversified with the encouragement and support of the Government. Its present condition is also to a great extent because of the intensive involvement of and interference by the government. Here our study provideS a brief review of the various levels of the evaluation of the cooperatives in general and of credit co-operatives in particulars the agricultural sector over the past century.
