“Inclusive growth as defined by the 11th Five Year Plan is “A Growth Process which yields broad – based benefits and ensures equality of opportunities for all”. It is in favour of the poor ensuring equity from the GDP growth”. It emphasizes the contribution of growing GDP to enlarge the scale and scope for the development of all social groups. “All strata of society, both in Urban and Rural areas, are to receive the benefits of growth through more employment, income and better living conditions”. Those sections of the Indian society, SC and ST, who have been over looked for centuries and the growth process during planned era are to be benefitted by inclusive growth. A typical village, Maddivanch of Garla mandal of Khammam district in Telangana State is taken for the study. All the social groups viz., OC, BC, SC and ST live in the village. Data is primary, collected from 80 respondents. The primary objective of this paper is to find out the variations in the levels of development of the social communities in rural India by taking selective indicators. Socio- Economic conditions of the social groups are also analysed as they are related to the process of development along with primary objective. The study reflects the disparities among the social group in rural India. Policy makers need to concentrate on the neglected sections, especially STs while formulating for strategies / action plans for inclusive growth in the years to come.
