The research aims towards finding the factors that assist the faculty to leave or change their existing job. Employee attrition is a crucial issue which needs to be looked into so that the best talent can be retained in the organization. This implies not only to the corporate sector, but also to the education sector where the teachers/ faculty members need to be assessed on reasons for them changing their jobs frequently. A teacher, who is a guru, responsible for framing a lot of futures, must not be ignored with respect to this. It is the responsibility of the organization to understand what their employees need. A happy and satisfied faculty is the key for organization success. Thus, it is important need of the organization to retain the competent or skilled teachers in an organization. The research study aims at studying different perspectives of teachers that lead to teachers attrition. The research has been conducted in the academic organizations such as the universities and colleges of Uttarakhand region. Key Words: Attrition, faculty, job satisfaction, retention
