Women play a significant role in home as well as at work. She plays a multiple role and balancing the work life conflict. Traditionally women roles are within the four walls, considering women as inferior and not aware of anything. Now the role of women has changed due to increased in their education and their employment. They interact with their colleagues and update their knowledge from products to politics. Their views, opinions and feelings are considered and are included in the decision making. The study was undertaken in Coimbatore City in the year 2014-2015 with a sample size of 500 respondents including 275 private sector employees and 225 public sector employees. The employees are school teacher, college teacher, railway employees, banking employees, professionals, nurses, IT professionals etc. The study includes the socio economic profile of the respondents, role of the married working women in order to take decision and their level of decision making pattern. The questionnaire was collected from respondent. After analyzing the data various tools like percentage analysis, chi-square, ANOVA and factor analysis, results show that decision making pattern among married working women is good.Women play a significant role in home as well as at work.
