Inclusion frequently has been seen as a socio-economic development tool that should be subsidized by the majority of the developing countries governments. However, the Indian government requires that all the banks have to dedicate a certain proportion of their lending to “priority” sectors such as agriculture, social sector, and marginal sector for their socio-economic development. The data has been collected from the 140 respondents through the structured questionnaire. The secondary data obtained from the existing literature and review. The main objective of this paper to examine the role of information technology for promotion of financial inclusion in India and offer suitable suggestions to strengthen the financial inclusion through information technology. The study found that the, there was a chance of explore the possibility to ride on the mobile phone and mobile technology to hasten the process of financial inclusion through mobile and branchless banking and useful for the financial inclusion (x2=2.445, df=16, p=0.000) and also derived that, there was chance explore the possibility to ride on the mobile phone and mobile technology to hasten the process of financial inclusion through mobile and branchless banking and his technology provide services at the village household level, throughout the day without hassles as here are challans/vouchers being generated (x2=89.763, df=16, p=0.000).
