Digital disruption is the latest hot phenomenon that has encompassed all walks of life globally in recent times. The education system has not been spared by this trend which in a way has revolutionised the entire system. The entry of digital technology has brought about a revolution in the field of education. This paper is a review of the emerging trends in digital teaching methods and the impact of digital technology on the different fields of education. The use of digital technology in classroom teaching is being highlighted in consideration with the changes in teaching methods from both teacher’s perspective and the learner’s perspectives. It can be noted that the transformation in teaching methods and tools in subjects like life sciences and literature is highly noteworthy. Thus digital disruption in classrooms is a welcome happening.
