The purpose for this paper is to break down the developmental patterns in the knowledge economy. Further, the paper investigates and examines the Ten-Year Innovation Plan of South Africa which is relied upon to drive change towards an information based economy, in which the creation and dispersal of learning prompts financial advantages and advances all fields of human attempt. This paper highlights features the central difficulties distinguished, where South Africa is today, and in which directionit’s moving in the coming 10 years from now.
