By means of technological developments and the use of sophisticated machineries it is possible for the manufacture to achieve better quality and well-designed garments. As far as the quality of any garments is concerned the seam performance plays a vital role. The seam performance depends on the types of seam stitches employed stitch density, quality of sewing thread, type of fabric etc. In this research, the seam performance of woven fabrics has been investigated using different types of stitches that can be produced in computer controlled sewing machine with all above variable factors.Indian garment industry is a well-organized enterprise and is among the best in the world.
