International Labour Organisation, Food & Agricultural Organisation and National Population Census data revealed that women constituted 38 per cent of agricultural labour force in developing countries. The present region-specific study is conducted in Ariyalur District of Tamil Nadu, India in order to examine the extent of participation of farm women in agriculture and allied enterprises. The main objective of the present study is socio-economic profile of sample women farmers, participating in agriculture and allied activities, especially in dairying. The null hypothesis; women’s role on agriculture and its anticipated component are non-stationary at level. In cointegrationtest the above hypothesis was rejected and conclude that, there is long-run movements of the relevant variables are related. i.e. women had long-run relationship with agriculture and allied activities.
