E-banking means the conduct of banking electronically. It calls for elimination of paper-based transactions and radical change in the baking operations. E-banking will operate through internet, extranet and intranet. In recent years, Banking and non-banking financial institution have experiencing several changes due to liberalization and financial sector reforms. The advancement in sophisticated information and communication technology is supporting power for the fast computerization of the banking operations. A large amount accounting and financial transactions are now handled very efficiently and quickly with help of computers on account of globalization, privatization deregulation, inter-linking of money, liberalization of the capital market, foreign investment taxation reforms and various other factors are responsible for bringing about a sea change in the lose one and a half decade. The emergence of e-mail, internet and e-commerce have resulted in substantial business, global operations as well as extensive use of credit, cards, smart cards and diversification of banking operations. These underline the needed for the use of sophisticated electronic technology by way of computerization on the other hand, customers need easy to use. The e-banking products include ATM, Telephone, PC, Internet banking and online banking. Online banking is the latest service available to the customer’s e-bill payment is one of key services offered by banks. Today’s banks are running an online front.
