The English novel is always modern. It is a changing and discovering form of literature. It alters with the new, and the news. And constantly struggles to express our shifting and developing inner and outer life. It is the product of the age in which it is meditated and textualized. It reflects the prevalent tendencies of the time whether political, economic, social, cultural, and intellectual currents that are at stake during the time. Starting from this fact, it becomes clear and significant that any literary trend cannot be understood without understanding the age in which it appeared and developed.
