African-Americans always had a nervous frame of mind in the way of life with the White ideal of beauty. Black women usually have been exaggerated by the issues of skin color, facial features and hair styles. To attain high attractive white standard of beauty most of black women tried mysterious things to satisfy black-male expectations. Toni Morrison, an African- American women writer depicted black women characters as the representatives who search for Female Identity in the novel Song of Soloman (1977). The main thought presented in this article is that how the idea of eyes as uncanny as pivotal for female identity has been proven through ‘Hagar’.
