Since millions of years, people are subject to discrimination on various grounds like caste, creed, race, language and region. The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy presented the clear picture of such discrimination. So the novel is a document of discrimination on the basis of caste and raises a wave of revolt among the literary artists against the tendencies that believe in treating human as a slave and also against the perversities that putrefy the humanness of the oppressed. Having been derived the story from social background; the novel grabbed the attention of world’s literary community.
