This paper deals about the importance of teaching speaking skill in the second language class room. Teaching speaking skill is an automatic process while the subject is being taught in the classroom. This is the belief of many English teachers but it is not acquired properly. In many schools and colleges, students are not given importance for speaking skill. So they may fail to acquire the skill. This paper presents the problems and remedies for speaking skill. It also aims to give suggestion to teachers and students to develop the speaking skills with some tasks.
