Aravind Adiga was born in Madras on 23 October 1974.Adiga grew up in Mangalore and studied at Carnara High School. He Studied English Literature at Columbia College, Columbia University. He wrote the Man Booker Prize winning book- The White Tiger, and became the fourth Indian to achieve this after Salman Rushdie, Arundhati Roy, and Kiran Desai.Thus; he turned into the field of writing and has penned many books since then. His novel The White Tiger tells the story of particular weeks in the life of its murderous narrator, so as his second work Between the Assassination takes seven days in the life of a fictional Indian city called Kittur, south of Goa and north of Calicut. It is Adiga’s near –sightedness that brings his writing to life .His eye moves among the crowd with the restless precision, alert to the realities of each unremarkable existence .His subject is the everyday frustration brought by discriminations of status, class and religion. This paper seeks to focus on the marginalized, struggling characters for their happy and peaceful life. Characters are portrayed in a various shade in multi –cultural ethnic and religious ambience. All these characters go through pain and suffering of their share in this birth .The aim of the contemporary marginalized literature lies not only in the unfolding of human beings ‘ life and their ambience but also in creating awareness about certain shortcomings and incongruities, which require rethinking and reconsideration. In the post-independent era, the literature that deals with the marginalized people has occupied a center stage.
