The paper is on appreciation and analysis of poetry. Scansion means analysis or appreciation. How to analyse the rhyme and rhythm of the poem is the main focus of the paper. It tries to explain the terms related to rhyme and rhythm with suitable examples. Major concentration is given on how to indicate the rhyme scheme? Most popular and generally accepted method of indicating a rhyme scheme is to use small letters of the alphabet – a b e c d e f. This is explained in detail with suitable examples.
