In recent past the genre of autobiography has attracted attention of researchers, scholars and debaters. Life and literature are inseparable from each other. Growth of autobiographical writing in India goes back to the period of Rig-Veda. The literary renaissance that began with India’s contact with the England made a remarkable contribution in so far as it excited and stimulated the autobiographical impulse in the Indians. The present paper attempts to explore the autobiography of Krishna Hutheesing, daughter of Pt. Motilal Nehru, whose life has deep connections with Indian Freedom Struggle. The paper tries to probe the book and to find out the portrayal of self in this moving saga of a woman’s struggle.
