The present paper aims at an investigation of hope Dalit poets look forward in the dawn of ultramodern era. Dalit literature is a saga of the defenseless masses exploited over centuries in the name of religion, culture and politics. It sings the song of that caged bird who has no liberty to fly in the free and boundless sky. To discus herein few poems are selected poems from the anthology, No Entry for the New Sun Translations from Modern Marathi Dalit Poetry. Hope is one of the striking features of Dalit literature. Not only in Dalit autobiography and other narratives forms but poetry too shows the spirit of revolt and hope. The poems have been selected as a representative of Dalit poetry although theme variation occurs after each and every poem. This is an attempt to trace the weaponless war that has been taking place on the literary field using letters as weapons for long waited justice.
