Music is expresses the ideas and emotions in significant sound forms by using the elements of rhythm, melody and harmony through voices, instruments, or both. Thus Music is a weapon used for bringing out the deepest feelings of a person or a group. For the last more than two hundred years, women have been fighting for their rights. The women’s movement gained many victories and changed the society. The problems such as discrimination, sexism, violence towards women are highlighted while oppression and traditional female roles are challenged. The most affected people are those who stay in the suburbs of a country. These problems are brought out through the suburban songs.
