This paper mainly focuses on the burning issue of enhancement of employability skills through effective technical communication. Unemployment is the burning issue of today’s modern world. Many a time people talk of recession in job. Every corner of the street, they discuss about salary cutting or job cutting. But if you go deeper into the matter, you will find that the reality is very much controversial. On one hand, industries are expecting much more from the upcoming graduated students and on the other hand, students who are getting ready for employment, fail to meet the expectations of industries. It is observed that the gap between industries – academic organization linkage goes broader year after year which gives rise to unemployment and directly or indirectly it affects the society also. Youngsters feel betrayed, even frustrated when they are not getting job and this trendy scenario results in losing faith in education. There is no exaggeration in saying that ineffective communicative skills, wrong attitude and aptitude, insincerity, incompetency and incapability, lack of soft skills, non-proficiency in language, mannerisms, etc. can make the students altogether an unemployed employee. At the end of the paper, some recommendations will be suggested by which we can overcome the problem and enhance employability skills and as a result, can contribute something for the betterment of the nation. Key Words: Indian Youth, Employability Skills, Communicative Skills, Soft Skills, Technical Communication
