Contrary to general expectations before independence of India the role of English has increased manifold. It is being widely used in almost all spheres of life. Rather it has diminished the importance of our national language. Despite strong oppositions this language has been regarded as the only tool to get updated and in touch with the rest of the world .No higher academic qualifications are possible without the knowledge of this language. It has become status symbol for us Indians. This language has provided employment opportunities not only in India but abroad also. The learning of this language has been made easier with the help of many techniques. The methodology of language teaching is changing with the modern times. As many electronic gadgets like TV, mobile computer with internet connectivity has really brought information revolution .Earlier language teaching was done through traditional modes as the teacher was not having any access to the means through which the learners could be exposed to the use of this language and the teacher had been the only role model for the teaching of any specific language. Sometimes even he was not well acquainted with exact sense and it’s in the mother tongue and the teaching was done purely through translation method. These days we have direct access to not only any particular language but with all sorts of varieties of different languages its uses. As we all know that until all aspects of any language are learnt a person cannot be comfortable with. A tutor has a huge responsibility to familiarize the learner with exactness. As the four integral parts like reading, listening, writing and speaking of any language have play the basic role. The strategy to cover these four parts can be easily practiced and understood with the help of modern gadgets. This language will eclipse the existence of all native languages of India. Key Words: British law-makers, official state languages, Indianization of English, Received Pronunciation, electronic gadgets, vernacular mediums etc.
