Khushwant Singh is a feather in the cape of Indian English literature. He writes whatever he thinks without any fear or phobia. His themes are wide and variety in range. He touched some untouched subjects in his writings. His magnum opus work is Trains to Pakistan a well acclaimed one. It exhibits the dark sides of human follies during the period of partition between India and Pakistan. This paper tries to excavate the socio political tensions prevailing at the time of partition at Mano Majra, a village near the border of two countries.
