The proposed paper deals with various dimension of subaltern expression with a special reference to the changing social dynamics. The word subaltern is generally used to refer to oppression, suppression and the exploitation of grass root people, which were put away from the mainstream social arena. It is noted that once understanding of subaltern expression dependence on not only on the way in which one defiance center, but also the part taken by marginal. It also deals with a specific concern like that of caste and religion identity along with that of sex and color. It is common phenomena in India as well as in America. Undoubtedly there is inseparable and inter related bound between the sufferings of Indian Dalits and blacks of America. At the outset, I want to examine the status of blacks and Dalits writings and their paramount importance in the world literature. Right from sathya shodhak samaj led by jyotiba Phule played a tremendous role in questioning the superiority of the upper caste. In the continuous to this, Dr. Br. Ambedkar tried to channelize the scattered tongues from the “darkness”. The legacy of Indian social thinkers led to storm of revolt in 1980. As a result, the Dalit literature was transformed and took a modern shape in order to locate the social dynamics in hierarchal chaturvarna caste based Hindu hidden society. The present paper also explores the pros and cons of social moment’s right from the neo liberalization to at present time.
