This paper foreshadows the real event and the historical truth in order to retrace the forgotten as well as the hidden history of Colombia. The paper highlights the sufferings undergone by the banana workers and their wish to rewrite the documents regarding the work timings. Banana plantation is a demon that occurs in the life of Macondo people, which leaves the people in a state of miseries. It concludes by stating that the strike undergone by the banana workers results in tragedy and it also resulted in the decay of Macondo.
