The Present research paper explores the purpose of Girish Karnad’s The fire and the Rain in terms of characters’ absent judgment in different conditions of their life. Karnad has created the character of Arvasu with the combination of emotion and enthusiasm. He has been portrayed as a human being who lives in dilemma in conditional situations and command of the people around him. The lacking judgment of Arvasu that puts him into conflicting situations has been critically analyzed by the researcher. A wrong decision may result in the decay of entire life, the philosophy in the manner of Hamletian delay of Macbethian misjudgment has been applied to the life taking and actions of Arvasu.
