In society all the men and women are equal. Everyone has the rights to live within freedom and security. But each and everyone treated in the society under the basis of religion, caste, colour, race, sex. This paper represents the conflict between upper class Brahmins and lower class Dalits. Vinodini’s play Daaham and translated in English as ‘Thirst’ deals thrash about of Untouchability in Malapalli village. The central intend of this play shows the crisis of water and identity of Dalit people in that village. The lower class people are exploited by the higher class for digging well but not share water with Dalits. This paper primarily spotlights how the Dalits come forward and protest against the brutality of the Brahmins and finally getting identity in the society without any oppression. In this play we can undoubtedly notice with the intention of the Dalit people breaking their silence and raise their voice and attain individual identity in the society.
